''Georgia should be one of the first countries being able to lift tourism restrictions and host visitors,'' Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at the government session today.

He says the negotiations are underway with Czech Republic, Poland, Baltic States, and Austria.

In Gakharia's words, the negotiations will succeed shortly.

''The first country with which Georgia will have a safe, green corridor will be Israel,'' he said, adding Georgia will do everything to host them well.

Georgia plans to start lifting restrictions on domestic tourism on June 15, while it will host foreign tourists from July 1.

Negotiations with airline companies on the resumption of flights are underway. A total of 18 air companies out of 38 agreed to re-launch flights.

Ryanair will resume flights in July, while Turkish Airlines will do the same from June.
