As Georgian Vice PM, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili says, the Georgian government plans to construct 59 new school buildings and renovate 85 across Georgia.

''A total of 20 schools will be finished in September, while until the end of 2020, the construction of school buildings for 4,170 children will be over,'' Maia Tskitishvili said.

She visited Signagi and Gurjaani municipalities to see the construction process with Georgia's Education Minister, Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

Tskitishvili says that the village of Bodbe will have a new school shortly, and children will no longer have to go to the neighboring village for education.

''The construction of Bodbe Public School will be over in October 2020,'' she said.

''The construction work is carried out with the Municipal Development Fund's sponsorship,'' Tskitishvili said, adding that the work value is 1 809 968 GEL.
