Giorgi Svanidze, the Farmer and the Founder of Georgian Olive company was promoted to the International Olive Council (IOC).It is for the first time that Georgia is named among the Olive producer countries.

In this connection the meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture.Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture met with Abdellatif Ghedira, CEO of IOC.The discussion covered the procedures of Georgia membership which will be completed in November. Next year Georgia will be the chair county.The reason is the alphabet.The leader countries change in Latin alphabetic order.

Next year Georgia will be hosting the International Olive Council session which implies various events related to this agricultural product.

According to the CEO of IOC, Georgian olive oil is one of the best world quality.

“Georgia meets all required standards to become the member of our organization”, Abdellatif Ghedira said
