The Ambassador of Georgia, Giorgi Janjgava, on March 31, 2021, hosted the Mayor of the Turkish City Hatay, Lütfü Savaş, at the Embassy, with the Secretary-General of the Hatay Expo’21 International Organizing Group, Ihsan Chakar, and members of the organizing group. Possibilities for deepening cooperation between the local self-government bodies of Hatay and the Embassy were discussed at the meeting. The parties discussed Georgia's participation in the international exhibition Hatay Expo’21. Also, the parties discussed steps to promote the involvement of the Georgian side in the exhibition and the involvement of the Georgian gardener-decorators.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation. At Hatay Expo’21, participants from all over the world are given the opportunity to present a wide variety of seedlings and promote their brand. As part of the exhibition, participating countries will be able to offer national cuisine and wine tasting, and within the framework of the cultural week, they can organize various events to popularize the country.
