The Georgian Parliament will launch discussing the amendments to Georgia's Tax Code about the VAT.

As Head of the Budgetary-Financing Parliamentary Committee Irakli Kovzanadze said, the Tax Code of Georgia will experience complex changes firstly concerning VAT.

''The bill will be important in terms of simplification of payments,'' he said.

The Finance Ministry prepared a bill on amendments to the Tax Code for the approximation to the EU directive (2006/112/EC) on VAT.

According to the Ministry, the best European practice will be established to support cooperation between entrepreneurs operating in Georgia and the EU.

The investing environment will be improved, disputes will decrease, and tax obligations will be easier to fulfill.
