Representatives of Maricultura Georgia say that Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Russia, Hong Kong, and Canada have already shown readiness to import Georgian marine products. The Ministry of Culture has confirmed the information.
Founded in 2020, in the vicinity of the Kvariati village, Georgia's Ajara region, Mariculture Georgia enterprise processes and rears mussels and oysters. They are sold on the Black Sea market. After the production volumes increase, Georgian sea products are set to be exported.
The company's submarine firm covers 70 ha and produces 30 tons of mussels and 10-15 tons of oysters. Fresh mussels and oysters are sold from May to October, and frozen sea products are available for customers later.
