Georgian PM asks support from the EU

As Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated at the economic conference 'Georgia and World 2020', Georgia needs the EU assistance to strengthen transport and communication ties.

He said the Georgian government is doing its best to improve standards in different areas. He focused on the challenges and the importance of European colleagues' support.

''Our European colleagues should help us overcome the challenge of the transportation and communication contacts. Georgia maintains an ideal legal framework today and deals with the EU, and Georgia is very close to the union, but it has no land border with the EU,'' he said, adding the communication is the greatest challenge for the average, small and large business sectors to establish links and receive profit.

According to Gakharia, the problem resolution will accelerate the increase of the Georgian economy.
