Georgian PM: Government supports robust Georgian business

''The Georgian government understands that it should support the development of average, small and large infrastructural business in Georgia and ensure the creation of jobs,'' Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated at Donors' Conference on January 29, 2020.

According to him, employment is the challenge the Georgian government will have to work for in the following years.

''The government of Georgia constantly supports additional investments in Georgia,'' he said, adding the authorities support the creation of a robust business that should lead the economic growth and creation of jobs.

''A strong business is a component, based on which Georgia will be able to distribute social responsibility gradually, step by step. It is the main principle we aspire to,'' he said.

Gakharia said that one of the challenges to be resolved is a misbalance on the labor market.

He also stated that the government conducts reforms in the education field to eliminate the misbalance.

''We face severe problems in the rare professions that become more and more required in parallel to the economic growth,'' Gakharia said, adding that Georgia has made significant steps towards the development of education.

In Giorgi Gakharia's words, the investment in education is long-term and cannot show desired outcomes in two or three years.
