Following the National Democratic Institute (NDI) survey, 67% of Georgia's population said unemployment is the biggest problem for the Georgian economy.
The respondents answered the following question: What is the biggest problem the Georgian economy currently faces?
The answers to the question are as follows:
Price growth / inflation - 33%
Poverty - 22%
Low salaries - 20%
GEL depreciation - 18%
High taxes - 11%
Coronavirus - 10%
Border closure - 6%
Corruption / nepotism - 5%
Lack of tourists - 5%.
One percent of the respondents say the Georgian economy faces no problems.
2,045 Georgian citizens were polled via telephone on August 6 – 11.
