In January of 2021, $ 6.3 million worth of products were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan. We are talking about exports without re-exports, products made in Georgia.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, Georgia's domestic exports to Azerbaijan increased by 62.7%. Azerbaijan ranked seventh out of 10 major markets in Georgia's domestic exports with a 3.8% share, preceded by Ukraine, the USA, Russia, Turkey, China, Bulgaria.
In January 2021, the volume of exports of goods from Georgia (excluding undeclared exports) amounted to 224.4 million USD, which is 16.2 percent less than the same month of last year. Exports without re-exports (local exports) accounted for 74.1 percent of total exports. This figure decreased by 6.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 166.4 million USD.
In January 2021, the share of the ten largest countries in the total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 82.7 percent. In this regard, the largest export partners are Bulgaria (USD 26.7 million), China (USD 25.3 million), and Turkey (USD 20.6 million).
