A total of 20 tonnes of Georgian strawberry and blueberries have been exported to the US by Glenberry LLC, established by the government's financial support.
The refrigeration plant Glengarry LLC was established by the government support in 2018 in the village of Kvenatkotsa, Kareli Municipality, Shida Kartli region of Georgia.
The plant was founded as part of the 'Unified Agro-Project.' Five million GEL was invested in it.
The refrigeration plant can store 1,200 tonnes of fruit and vegetables and has a processing infrastructure allowing to process ten tonnes via unique shock freezing method.
The plant has 150 local employees.
The company owners also planted broccoli and strawberry this year over a five-hectare land plot.
