Georgia sold 87,449 bottles of wine in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021, Report News Agency informs, referring to the National Wine Agency of Georgia. Georgian wine exports to the neighboring country saw a 66% growth.
In January-March, Georgia exported around 19 mln bottles of wine worth $44 mln to 52 countries.
In the reporting year, the main wine export markets are those of:
China (959,040 bottles);
Lithuania (245,940 bottles);
the US (237,878 bottles);
Estonia (161,956 bottles);
Great Britain (117,118 bottles);
Japan (51,346 bottles).
In January-March 2021, Georgia exported 63,232 liters of pure Georgian grape wine worth USD 242.5 thousand to Azerbaijan. The National Statistics Office of Georgia data show that wine exports are up by 2.2 if compared to those of 2020.
Georgia plans to export $1 bln wine to different countries by 2030.
