The Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has launched the monitoring of the companies involved in online sales.
The labour inspection department of the Economic Ministry will check about 260 facilities in a week.
The companies carrying out online sales of books, toys, home appliances, clothes, shoes, cosmetics and other items will be subject to the monitoring.
As part of the check, the companies must meet the recommendations defined by the Health Ministry.
Economic Minister Natia Turnava says tens of companies will pass the check daily.
''Once the emergency restrictions mitigate, online sales will be a priority,'' she said, adding the companies should be ready and meet all the requirements of the Health Ministry.
