The government has mobilized GEL 18.0 million for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Galt & Taggart review of the health sector reveals the information.
According to health researchers, out of the 400 million estimated for Covid events next year, the most, 107.1, is planned to be spent on tests, medicines, equipment, transport, and other services.
GEL 74.0 million will be spent on quarantine facilities, fever clinics, home management, monitoring, and medical services.
GEL 37.1 million is provided for testing, special equipment, and other medical consumables.
GEL 18.0 million is estimated for the COVID-19 vaccine.
As for the current year's COVID budget, the funds allocated for the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in the 2020 state budget amount to GEL 239 million, of which, as of December 9, 90% has been used, and GEL 25.1 million is left for spending.
