After the Kakheti region, harvesting process starts in Racha. Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia talked about the importance of constructive cooperation and coordinated work between winemakers and wine producers. According to Pavliashvili up to 1500 tons of grapes are expected to be harvested in Racha region.
According to Levan Mekhuzla, the Chief of the Vintage Coordination the staff at Ambrolauri is fully mobilized to provide human and technical resources to keep the grape harvest process going.
Vintage in Kakheti is in it’s final stage. As of October 9 up to 263,000 tonnes of grapes have been processed which is the highest rate in the last decade.
