The city is suffering the worst highway congestion, with this making free movement impossible.
Deployment of patrol police crew resources in accordance with the directives by the City Hall and traffic light control and coordination by the corresponding department of the City Hall are some of the measures set to be implemented to improve the situation.
As Head of Municipal Transport Department Mamuka Mumladze states, each new location will be equipped with new technologies counting vehicles and managing traffic flow.
Reportedly, the equipment has already been purchased and the personnel is being retrained so that it can appropriately apply transport management system.
The new programme will gradually cover the entire city.
