An Azerbaijani 'Zerkalo' edition published an article titled 'Georgia Opening Borders: Will Azerbaijani People Visit Neighbor for Rest?"
As the article reads, Georgia resumes domestic tourism on June 15, while the country will open for foreign tourists on July 1.
The article also says that Tbilisi will host a UNWTO summit in September 2020, and Azerbaijan will participate.
Director of Azerbaijani 'Vizit Tur' travel agency Svetlana Huseinova says that Georgia's open borders will positively influence Azerbaijan.
She says Azerbaijani tourists ranked as Georgia's highest number of tourists.
According to Husseinova, Azerbaijani people will not hurry up to travel to Europe, but some have already planned to visit Georgia.
''I believe that if Georgia opens its borders on July 1, many Azerbaijanis will head to its neighbor. I hope other countries will do the same,'' she said, emphasizing that for the Azerbaijani people, it is more comfortable to travel in Georgia, as they can travel by car and do not depend on flights.
