The International Monetary Fund (IMF) released a document on technical assistance provided to Georgia by the Fund. According to the report, the IMF mission to Georgia was improving the accounting process of balance of payments. In the frame of the mission IMF held meetings with representatives of the National Bank and Geostat, along with representatives of other sectors of the economy including the gambling business.

For the last few years Georgia's gaming business has rapidly grown. Turnover in gaming business exceeds GEL 7 billion annually.

Another issue that IMF is interested in is cryptocurrency operations in Georgia. The representatives of the IMF mission met with the management of e-Money, where they discussed the cryptocurrency exchange statistics and registration.
