IMF resident representatives in Georgia Selim Chakir delivered a speech at the economic conference ''Georgia and World 2020) and emphasized the significance of the financial reforms in Georgia.

According to him, the financial sector is thriving in Georgia as it represents a healthy structure with good leadership.

''Georgia has free trade deals that supported the export diversification. I hope the process will continue, and changes in the agricultural service and manufacturing fields are required. We see certain changes, but the process must continue,'' he said, adding that the education field is a priority for the Georgian government, supporting the preparation of high-qualified and high-paid employees,'' the IMF official says.

According to Selim Chakir, Georgia did well to achieve macro-economic stability.
