According to updated data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia on foreign trade, in January-October 2020, the share of the ten largest importing partner countries in Georgia's total imports amounted to 70.0 percent. The top three include Turkey ($ 1,131.3 million), Russia ($ 709.9 million), and China ($ 572.9 million).

Imports in this period are reduced from all countries except Armenia. Imports from Armenia to Georgia increased by 62% in the first ten months of this year.

Imports to Georgia this year compared to last year (January-October) decreased the most from Japan (decrease 36%), Germany (decrease 24.6.5%), and the United States (decrease 20.8%). About 20% decrease in imports got recorded from China and Italy.

As for Azerbaijan, the annual import from Azerbaijan to Georgia is reduced by 10.5%.

Azerbaijan is in the top three largest exporting countries of Georgia.

In January-October 2020, the foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to 9,159.5 million USD, which is 15.0 percent less than the previous year's corresponding period.

Of this, exports amounted to 2 715.3 million USD (less than 11.1 percent), while imports amounted to 6 444.2 million USD (down 16.6 percent).

Georgia's negative trade balance in January-October 2020 amounted to 3,728.9 million USD, which is 40.7 percent of foreign trade turnover.
