International experts to get involved in health reform

The World Bank Washington Delegation is paying an official visit to Georgia.

The delegation members have held a meeting with Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Refugees, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

The parties have discussed possible fields of cooperation in terms of health reform including the current and planned reforms.

‘We look forward to collaborate with the Ministry and other stakeholders to work on the issues and reach an ideal outcome in healthcare,’ World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus said. 

Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia also attended the meeting. She remarked that the World Bank experts’ involvement is of utmost importance.

‘Engagement in the health reform, health financing reform affairs, estimation of expenses, hospital and primary healthcare reform – these are all the fields we will short work on with the World Bank experts,’ she said.
