As Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated during the government session, Kutaisi – Riga flights will resume starting October 1, 2020.
In his words, the restrictions on flights will be lifted gradually, based on the epidemiological situation and economy.
Wizz Air will be the Kutaisi – Riga flight operator.
''Today, we decided to resume the direct flight from Kutaisi to Riga starting October 1, 2020. The Wizz Air will conduct the flights,'' Gakharia said.
He says the decision is not 'bold,' as the number of flights totals one per week.
''It is a way for us to do everything carefully for leading the economy to resume shortly,'' he added.
