"With the implementation of the TAP project, part of the Southern Gas Corridor last year, and supplying gas from Shah Deniz to Europe, we have taken another successful step," the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov stated during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili.

During the meeting in Baku, the Azerbaijani and Georgian sides discussed the possibilities of strengthening bilateral relations and discussed the historical projects that the countries are implementing together.

"We pay attention to relations with Georgia, joint projects, bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian spheres. We have great potential for developing cooperation, in different areas, like communications, agriculture, education, science, healthcare, and various fields," Ali Asadov noted.

The Head of the Government of Georgia underlined the friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and, like the hosts, he focused on joint, future projects.

"I reaffirm our great respect and brotherhood. A wonderful meeting took place with President Aliyev. We once again reviewed the historical projects that our countries have implemented in recent years, thus laying the foundation for stable and sustainable partnerships and friendship. Our relations, our joint projects give us motivation and opportunity to implement even more projects together," said Irakli Gharibashvili during a meeting with Ali Asadov.
