Meeting of the Georgian-Turkish Joint Free Trade Committee in Ankara

The 12th meeting of the Joint Committee established by the Georgian-Turkish Free Trade Agreement took place in Ankara, Turkey. During the meeting, negotiations were held on amendments to the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries. The Georgian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze, while the Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu led the Turkish delegation.

The parties discussed the further liberalization of tariffs on agricultural products and the possibility of increasing trade with services in the document. The text of the annex to the service in the field of transport was also discussed.

According to the decision of the parties, the next meeting of the committee will be held in Tbilisi at the end of 2021.
