Minister says Georgia to be 'highly-demanded' for tourism and business

As part of the 112th session of the UN World Tourism Organization Executive Council Session in Tbilisi, Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava emphasized the importance of government support for maintaining the attractiveness of tourism and new investments.

Minister Turnava specified that Georgia is becoming highly-demanded, as its government took safety measures in time.

She says Georgia tends to be popular in for its tourism and business development.

''We immediately resumed the Host in Georgia government program to be available for the business sector for a long period. We sponsored 129 hotels, created 3,300 jobs, while the entire investment totaled 130 mln USD,'' Natia Turnava claimed.

In her words, several international investors continued their development projects for the last three months and planned to meet the increased demands through new hotels in the post-COVID period.
