Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava opened a new enterprise for the production of copper and aluminum cables, with the support of the government program "Produce in Georgia."
The company employs more than 100 people.
Turkish company Koç Kablo invested more than 15 mln GEL in the enterprise, equipped with the latest technologies to ensure fully automated production.
"The new enterprise is very high-tech and competitive, and, what is extremely important, it exports its products. The company was established under the "Produce in Georgia" program with state support. Currently, stage 100 people already work here, and in the future, this figure will almost double. It is also essential that this is a direct foreign investment," Natia Turnava said.
Earlier in February 2018, as part of the "Produce in Georgia" program, a land plot of 9,502 square meters was transferred to the company.
The company will mainly focus on exporting its products. Once it launches operation in full, it will have about 250 employees.
