Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia will participate in the opening ceremony for the construction of a new infrastructure at Poti Sea Port and the symbolic capsule burying.
The new infrastructure project will be implemented by PACE Group, one of the largest companies in the region.
The project was funded by the US Government Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) with $ 50 million investment.
The new project aims to create 500 new jobs. The new port infrastructure will be located on 25 hectares of the land. The project altogether costs $120 million. The first phase costs $ 93 million, $ 50 million of this sum is investment of OPIC.
