Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia commented on the Federal Air Transport Agency’s decision saying this does not mean resumption of flights between the two countries. Ross Aviation has allowed Russian S7 Airlines to fly from Moscow to Kutaisi. According to the order, the airline can operate Moscow-Kutaisi flights 7 times a week.
According to Natia Turnava, the Georgian Air Administration has not received any notification that flights have been resumed.
"You know my attitude towards this issue. We are only welcome if Russian officials review the decision and resume direct flights between Georgia and the Russian Federation", Natia Turnava said.
