In April of this year, 5 287 visitors arrived in Georgia from Azerbaijan, the April report of the Georgian National Tourism Administration reveals. According to the document, in April of 2021, 2 737 more visitors, or 1.9 times more, visited Georgia from the neighboring country, compared to April last year.
In January-April 2021, Georgia received 16 601 visitors from Azerbaijan, which is 248 139 people, or 93.7% less than in the first four months of 2020. Azerbaijan is the fourth country with the most significant number of visitors to Georgia after Turkey, Armenia, and Russia.
The total number of foreigners arriving in Georgia during the first four months of 2021 was 220 466 (-84%).
