In January and February of 2021, the number of tourist arrivals from Georgia to Azerbaijan shrank by 16.3, while visitors from Azerbaijan to Georgia plummeted by 37.5. Report News Agency informs, citing Azerbaijan's Statistical Committee report.
The State Statistical Office of Azerbaijan says that in January and February of 2021, a total of 72,100 foreigners and stateless persons entered Azerbaijan from 123 countries worldwide, with the numbers reduced by 5.9 if compared to those of 2020.
Per the data, 33.3% arrived in Azerbaijan from Russia, 28,8% from Turkey, 14,9%from Iran, 10,4% from Georgia, 2,4% from Ukraine, 1,2% from the UK, 1% from Belarus, 0,7% from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, 0,6% from Italy, 0,5% from Germany, 0,3% from the US, 4,5% from other countries.
In comparison to the data of the last year, tourist numbers from Georgia to Azerbaijan dropped by 16,3, while it fell by 11.1 to Kazakhstan, by 10 to Turkmenistan, 6.3 to Uzbekistan, 5.1 to Russia, 4.5 to Ukraine,4.4 to Great Britain, 2,6 Belarus, 2,5 Iran, and 3.3 Turkey.
