Passengers' flow decreases in Georgian airports

As reported by the United Airports of Georgia, the Georgian airports provided 314,079 passengers with service in January 2020.

The number is 3% less than the previous year's same period data (324,552 passengers).

The number of passengers increased in all international and local airports of Georgia, except Tbilisi International Airport.

In January 2020, Tbilisi International Airport served 211,590 passengers.

The number is 16% less than it was in the same period in 2019 (252,176 passengers).

As the United Airports of Georgia reports, the Russian ban on the flights to Georgia (dated July 8, 2019) and the suspension of direct flights from China due to the Coronavirus prevention are the reason for it.

The passengers' flow significantly increased in Kutaisi International Airport, reaching 79,759 in January 2020.

The number is 43% more than it was in the same period in 2019.
