PM Gakharia says Georgia must not stop construction

''We should do everything to continue the construction of the country,'' Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said when meeting developers.

''Today we control the virus dissemination speed and geography, but it does not mean that we have beaten it. It means that we control the virus,'' Gakharia said.

"Today, we are presenting the fourth plan elaborated by the government which aims to save the construction and development,'' Gakharia said.

Today, Georgian PM Gakharia reported that the government would protect the creditors from uncompleted construction processes.

Starting in 2021, the government will introduce the so-called Escrow reports for the insurance.

Following the program, if a constructor fails to sell 30% of the construction project area, the government will purchase it and use to provide IPDs with apartments.

The government program value is about 200 mln GEL.

The government will 20% guarantee the mortgage loans, i.e., it will be a co-debtor with the citizens.
