''Private companies should not forget that if they refuse to fulfill their obligations under the state of emergency, the government will take measures towards them,'' Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia stated in reaction to the Georgian Airways airlines company having canceled flights.

Gakharia says that the Georgian Airways Director expects a higher amount from the government to conduct flights.

He states that the companies that violate the law will have to pay fine and will afterward be subject to be held criminally responsible.

''The companies [violating the law] will be expropriated for the state interests… tell this to the company director from me,'' Gakharia said.

Notably, the flights planned by the Georgian Airways airline company from Europe to Georgia were canceled.

The flights aimed to bring Georgian citizens back to the homeland.
