''It is impossible to say that Georgia can cope with the economic crisis alone,'' Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia said when delivering his speech at the interagency coordination council session.
''Here we often heard the false viewpoint as if Georgia had defeated the virus. None of the countries can individually defeat the virus. It is impossible, like none of the countries can cope with the economic crisis alone. Our task is to control the risks and virus dissemination – it is the only thing a separate state can do,'' Gakharia said.
''Control of the borders, fast detection, treatment – this is all we can. All the rest is an illusion,'' Prime Minister said.
In his words, a country like Georgia cannot generate domestic demands. This is why it is impossible to say that Georgia can cope with the economic crisis alone.
"We depend on global trends,'' Gakharia said.
