According to the latest data from the National Statistics Office, there were 65 postal and courier economic entities operating in Georgia in 2018. 87.7% in Tbilisi, 7.8% in Adjara, 1.5% in Imereti, 1.5% in Kvemo Kartli and 1.5% are located in the Shida Kartli region.
Transfers to Georgia in 2018 were carried out by 178 service centers of postal and courier companies with an average annual employment of 3.8 thousand people. They include 855 couriers, postmen and Feldjagers.
According to the results of the survey, in 2018, revenues of postal and courier companies amounted GEL 95.8 million.
6114.2 thousand written correspondence and 2403.7 thousand parcels were sent by postal and courier companies in 2018.
