Shkmeruli is a very popular dish in Japan. The popularity of Georgian cuisine is growing there. This time the largest producer of Japanese fast food dishes, NISSIN, became interested in Shkmeruli.

In collaboration with NISSIN and Matsuya Foods, the Shkmeruli semi-finished product was created, which will be sold in almost all leading chains throughout Japan (up to 50 thousand stores in total).

During the preparation process, the producers actively cooperated with the Embassy of Georgia in Japan. As a result, it was decided that the Georgian origin of Shkmeruli would be emphasized as much as possible on the product packaging, and the Georgian flag would be displayed.

At the same time, on the poster of Matsuya Foods, the description of the dish will emphasize that the homeland of Shkmeruli is famous for its rich nature, wine, and delicious cuisine.

This type of cooperation was mainly due to the fact that the Embassy of Georgia is strongly represented in the digital space and actively uses social networks to promote Georgian culture.

The representatives of the company NISSIN expect that this product will take its place in the daily diet of the Japanese, which will increase the awareness about Georgia.

Shkmeruli is an old Rachuli dish. It is one of the most popular and demanded dishes in Georgian restaurants.

The name Shkmeruli comes from the village of Shkmeri in Racha.

Its unique taste is obtained by a combination of chicken, garlic, and milk.
