Georgia has begun a large-scale project for the gasification of villages across its regions. The report.ge news agency showed interest in the plans of SOCAR Georgia Gas in this respect.

SOCAR says it does not plan to gasify new settlements.

"The Georgian Gas Transportation Company is implementing the plan for gasification of villages based on the Resolution of the Government of Georgia No. 791 dated April 5, 2019. Following the requirements of Georgia's legislation, SOCAR Georgia Gas links new customers to the gas distribution network in the company's licensed area," SOCAR Georgia Gas reports.

The company declares that more than 715,000 subscribers enjoy the service.

"Under the legislation, the regulatory commission approved the company three-year investment plan, including improvement of infrastructure," SOCAR Georgia Gas stated.

SOCAR Georgia Gas plans to expand its pipeline network in Georgia by purchasing pipelines in the Dedoplistskaro, Martvili, Khashuri, Chokhatauri, and Zugdidi municipalities.

SOCAR Georgia Gas will pay GEL 6,154,370 for immovable property, which will be transferred to the company via direct sale.

SOCAR Georgia Gas will start paying out in 2027. The final payment date is December 31, 2036.
