SOCAR Georgia Petroleum will build new multifunctional complexes in Georgia.
As the company reports, facilities for stop and rest will be along the entire highway. The distance between the complexes will be at least 50 km.
"In the future, we are going to cover the entire route with similar objects. It will be possible to build two or three more objects on the Tbilisi-Sarpi road section. Approximately on the territory of Chumateleti, and then near Sarpi and in Guria," Levan Giorgadze, Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, said.
He added that in July-August, internal mobility increased at the local population's expense in Georgia, which is an optimistic signal. However, the activity will decrease in autumn due to seasonality.
"This business is characterized by seasonality. Both during and without a pandemic, autumn and winter are less busy than summer. We expect a more considerable decline than it would have been without the epidemic. However, because the local population has limited travel to foreign countries, movement within the country has increased," Giorgadze stated.
