State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced more than 1.924 million tons of oil in the first quarter of 2021, showing a 0.2% increase in comparison with a year earlier, Report. az informs, citing the company.
Moreover, the gas production in the reporting period amounted to 1.916 billion cubic meters, which is 5.6% more than the same period in 2020.
SOCAR exports have also increased. More than 1.4 mln tons of oil and 1.1 bln CBM of gas have been processed in the SOCAR Oil Processing Complex. In the first quarter of 2021, 669 tons of oil, chemical, and gas chemical products have been exported to foreign countries.
During the first three months of 2021, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 4.472 million tons of oil, with a decrease of 17% by contrast to a year ago.
The company also exported 512 million cubic meters of gas.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan is Georgia's largest gas, diesel, and bitumen provider.
