"We are continuing the projects planned in the field of corporate social responsibility. They are dependent on the regulations, which will determine whether it will be possible to continue these projects in the same format in the fall," Levan Giorgadze, director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, told report.ge.
As for the activities already held, Giorgadze says that a camp for persons with disabilities took place in Terjola in August, with numerous sports events.
The protection of the environment, support of young people, security, empowerment of women, support of the persons with disabilities, and the elderly - SOCAR has been actively working in this direction in Georgia for the last two years. The company introduced the corporate social responsibility platform, Five Standards of Responsibility, in 2018.
SOCAR Georgia Petroleum sponsored the 2020 Drift Series. The drift opening this year was associated with a number of difficulties but opened despite the pandemic. The first series took place in Khoni, and the next series is scheduled for September 26-27.
