In April of 2021, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Ukraine, imported 300 tons of aviation fuel in the country. Aviation fuel imported by the Azerbaijani company was supplied from Lithuania. The volume of imports decreased by 0.6 thousand tons, three times compared to March. On an annual basis, compared to April 2020, Ukraine's supply of aviation fuel from Lithuania increased by 60% or 1.3 thousand tons.
Moreover, 4,900 tons of aviation fuel were imported from Belarus to Ukraine in April.
In April of 2021, Ukraine imported 8,000 tons of aviation fuel, which is twice as much as in the same period last year. In January-April 2021, Ukraine imported 26,300 tons of aviation fuel from various countries, showing a 35% decrease compared to the corresponding period last year.
