On June 30, on the second anniversary of the TANAP pipeline's operation, the volume of the transferred gas will reach six bln cubic meters, - TANAP Consortium Director General Saltuk Düzyol told Turkish Anadolu Agency.

In his words, gas supply to Turkey gradually increased, and the total volume equaled two bln cubic meters in the first year.

As the TANAP official says, a total of 21,4 mln cubic meters of gas was transported to check the TAP pipeline.

''We can increase the volume following the demand in the nearest months,'' he added.

Duzyol also said that no obstacles were observed after the launch of commercial operations.

''The supplied volume and tariffs for gas transportation were defined in the 15-year transit agreement. Thus, the current world economic crisis will not stop us,'' he said.

The TANAP pipeline includes gas transportation from Shah Deniz mine via Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. At the Turkish-Greek border, TANAP connects the Trans-Adriatic (TAP) pipeline that crosses Greece, Albania, and Italy.
