As of the data of December 19, 2019 the tangerine export has hit 21,333 tonnes while the same rate was 20,085 tonnes in the same period in 2018, Ministry of Agriculture has reported.
Four new export markets were added to the previous ones this year.
Lithuania (120,9 tonnes), Singapore (0,1 tonnes), Qatar (0,4 tonnes) and Slovenia (152,2 tonnes) are the four countries that hosted the exported Georgian tangerine for the first time.
As of the December 19 data, 13,075.3 tonnes of tangerine were exported to Russia, 4,047.2 tonnes – to Ukraine and 3,333.6 tonnes to Armenia.
To note, the tangerine price teeters from 0,70 to 1,150 GEL in 2019.
