The excise tax is also increased on the raw materials of wine and grapes.

In 2020 the excise tax on grapes will be 30 rubles per 1 ton, and in the coming years will be 31 and 32 rubles.

What impact will this have on Georgian wine imports, Report.ge tried to find out from winemaker Andro Barnov. He said that the Georgian wine makers should not be concentrated on the Russian market. This should be principally important for Georgian business.
