Environment protection, facilitation of the young people, safety, empowering women, supporting people with special needs, and older ones; SOCAR has been intensely working in Georgia for two years as part of the social responsibility platform.
Marketing Manager of the SOCAR Georgia Petroleum Company Tatuli Antidze says that SOCAR presented Five Standards of Responsibility in 2018.
In her words, SOCAR prepares a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report per annum.
"The CSR SOCAR platform implies "Five Standards of Responsibility," including the following areas: environmental protection, support for youth, safety, empowerment of women, support for people with disabilities, and the elderly ones.
The company organizes or participates in various activities.
SOCAR is a supporter of the project "Active Life - My Element" as part of the CSR platform.
From the company's point of view, the involvement in such events is essential and necessary, as they also try to contribute to the development of one or another vulnerable area.
The latest project conducted as part of the SOCAR social responsibility platform was for people with disabilities organized at the Tbilisi Maritime Club on July 19.
The event organizers plan to hold a tournament in this sport and increase the number of participants.
Notably, SOCAR transferred 200,000 GEL to the StopCoV fund, created in the Georgian business ombudsman's office, to fight coronavirus.
In total, the fund raised 133.5 million GEL.
