2019 is a politically involved year affecting the business sector, which is natural. According to the Head of the Business Association, Levan Vepkhvadze, political instability became the main challenge of 2019. He believes that the political instability and international shock became the main obstacles for tourism and aviation sectors development, causing the chain of adverse reaction on the industries.
One of the most painful issues for the business sector is national currency depreciation.
He also mentioned new regulations in his assessment and said that in some of the regulations, like, for instance, the banking regulations, created additional problems for the businesses.
Hence, 2019 was the year of the three major challenges: political instability, national currency depreciation, and additional regulations.
