"Despite the pandemic, projects worth $ 30 million with the participation of Kazakh capital are being implemented in Georgia, and 70 million are being prepared, including the Shovi Balneological Resort," said Giorgi Jakhutashvili, the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Georgia.
According to him, work is underway with the Georgian government's various structures to promote the development of companies created with Kazakh capital, as well as the realization of new investment and trade opportunities.
"The situation is difficult not only in Georgia but in the world. Each of us has to participate in improving the situation. As a citizen of Georgia, my desire and goal are to contribute to the well-being of the population of Georgia through my activities. We are obliged to create a stable income economy that we can only maintain and increase through foreign direct investment. One of my main functions as the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan is to take care of the deepening economic relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan," Jakhutashvili stated.
According to him, about 30 companies created with Kazakh capital operate in Georgia, the total investment volume exceeds 450 million US dollars. These companies employ more than 3 500 people.
"There are obstacles; for example, due to complicated air traffic, investors refrain from traveling, which hinders the decision-making process. We actively cooperate with the Georgian government, the Ministry of Economy, other government agencies on current and other systemic problems," Giorgi Jakhutashvili said.
