In January-November 2020, 35,549.7 thousand tons of goods were transported via Azerbaijan through Europe-Caucasus-Asia, TRACECA international transport corridor. The total turnover of TRACECA goods amounted to 8,456.6 million tons.
On an annual basis (compared to January-November 2019), the volume of cargo shipments decreased by 12,046.9 thousand tons or 25.3%. Cargo turnover decreased by 16.9%, or 1,723.9 million tons.
More than half of the cargo, 54.3%, was transported by road. 19,318.3 thousand tons of freight was transported by road. 11,665.0 thousand tons (32.8%) of cargo was transported by railway, while 4,566.4 thousand tons (12.9%) were transported by sea.
The total volume of shipments in the TRACECA transport corridor was 21.2% or 7,535.0 thousand tons of transit cargo. This figure has increased by 253.7 thousand tons or 3.5%.
