Turkey will sell the bridge over the Bosphorus to the Chinese. The Turkish and Chinese sides have reached the stage of concluding an agreement. Six Chinese companies plan to sign an agreement to acquire a 51% stake in a major Turkish highway and a third bridge operator on the Bosphorus. Talks concern selling the Northern Bypass Road and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. China set up a fund to get the deal. The fund includes China Merchants Expressway, CMU, Zheijiang Expressway, Jiangsu Expressway, Sichuan Expressway, and Anhui Expressway.

The deal is valued at about $ 700 million.

There are eight lanes for vehicles and two railway lines on the bridge.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge opened on August 26, 2016. The works' total cost, including infrastructure, compensated landscaping of the area, was about $ 6 billion. The project also included the construction of access roads that created the North Ring Road. Travel on the highway and bridge is not free.
