In February, the GEL devalued by 3.2973-3.3092 on average (0.4%) against the USD and strengthened against the EUR by 4.0186-4.0024 (0.4%). The National Bank of Georgia has released this information. Per its data, in February, one dollar cost GEL 3.3265 (with this being the peak of depreciation of the GEL) and GEL 3.2888 (relatively strengthened rate). Correspondingly, the maximum deviation from the average rate was 0.5% and the minimum -0.6%.
On the international currency market, the USD strengthened against the EUR by 0.8% on average, 0.3% against the Armenian Dram, 0.1% against the Turkish Lira and Azerbaijani Manat, and has remained unchanged against the Russian currency.
